a YUMMY post
May 29, 2009  |  about me, beach, Recipe
Sorry my fellow blog readers, but this beauty has captivated me. Who wants to sit inside on a computer when this is “SCREAMING” their name?? {*note: it takes a lot to pull me away from blogging time}

pure bliss for the eyes…
and this is pure bliss for the mouth…my new purchase from one of my very favorite stores, William Sonoma. I spent about 30 minutes looking through all of their cookbooks, and I settled on this one: eat well _ healthy ways to enjoy the foods you love So you might wonder, how to narrow down a HUGE cookbook selection to ONE. The endless choices of cookbooks at WS is overwhelming, especially for me, I am one indecisive girl in most cases. But this one was a no brainer…there are pictures for ALL of the recipes and ALL of them look SCRUMPTIOUS!! I pretty much drooled as I flipped through the pages of endless YUMMINESS! I usually do not buy cookbooks because you can find almost anything and everything online, but this is one a MAJOR exception!!! It is pure yummy beautifulness! And besides, it is one of the cheaper options, we are talking William Sonoma ladies and gentlemen.
here are just a few of the cookbook contents

okay…I really am drooling looking at these pictures, so I am going to attempt some time at “inspiration clipping”. ha-just came up with that new title?  That is what I call it when I start flipping through magazines, and tearing/clipping/cut&pasting things that make me go WOW!!
multitasking while:
watching (or listening to): Raising Helen
wearing: pj’s
drinking: ice water
sitting: indian style {aka “criss-cross applesauce”} on the floor in front of the couch…don’t ask, I have always been a floor girl
craving: rice pudding from rice to riches in NYC (yes, the SHIP and have e-GIFT CERTIFICATES…TEMPTING!!!)
was talking to: my lovely grandma on my blackberry
needing to: brush my teeth
& excited about: my BIG beach blog post, coming soon

  1. oh those images are lovely. I want to dive into the water. I want summer to be HERE NOW so that I can enjoy fresh local veggies and fruits.

I also read Urban Grace’s blog – congrats on your job with her. If I knew it was that easy to have you “help out” I would have emailed you months ago!

I’m not ChiO, but I am Greek too (Kappa Alpha Theta).

    Have a great weekend

Sarah-the cookbook is the BEST!! A good purchase, and like I said with the internet I would not usually buy a cookbook! the tomato pie was EASY and delicioussss!! Suprisingly I used about 3-4 whole medium-size tomatoes, but sliced them thinly!

  8. Thank you dear- I will make this this coming weekend!!!

  9. I'm craving Rice to Riches too… I should get some actually :) (and this is kinda embarrassing, but someone had it shipped to me for my birthday after I lived here the first summer because I was so obsessed with it!)
