CHRISTmas!
November 9, 2009  |  gifts, holidays, random

How can we forget what Christmas is really about, after the word CHRISTmas gives it away. CHRIST. I am starting a new short, Christmas bible study next week, and I am really excited. The study, Advent Conspiracy, touches on four main points over a four week period: worship fully, spend less, give more, and love all. Above all, “It starts with Jesus. It ends with Jesus”, and that is how God intended it to be. Wouldn’t it be grand to breath life back into the true meaning of the Christmas season, instead of being left feeling void, stressed, and discontent. You too can join in on the world-changing event, and share or read stories of what other people around the world are doing to celebrate Jesus anew!

Do not fret, if you need help “Rethinking Christmas”, check out this site. I challenge you the think outside the box this year, make lots of memories, be crafty, DIY, volunteer somewhere, get involved with organizations, and remember to have FUN with it.  I know what you are thinking, a post about Christmas…already? Yet, it is really just around the corner, believe it or not! Are you in? Have any creative ideas to share, I would love to hear?!

  1. Oh. My.

I JUST saw that book in Barnes and Noble on Friday evening. I read the back…then looked through it…then sneaked away to a little bench to read read read. I still find myself thinking of it – and THAT my friend…is when I know I need to buy a book. Otherwise I just get them from my library.

What a fantastic idea. Yes, I have lots to email you about. Lots to discuss.

So looking forward to the REAL reason for the holidays,
    xoxo MMW

  2. Oh, my favorite thing to do spending an evening in the bookstore scouring high and low for new books, design ideas in magazines, and looking at pictures! Best of all, it is free! Cannot wait to hear from you soon! Happy Tuesday! It is nice and rainy here :-(
