It is indeed true, my wedding day was magical. I wish they I could relive November 5th over and over and over again. It truly is such a treasure to have all the photos and fabulous wedding day video, so perfectly documented by Dan and Anne Almasy, of Atlanta.

I found my dress in New York City last summer. My mom and sister came up, and we hit the town with a mission. Lucky us, scored a winner with the second dress I tried on.

This picture is kind of contradictory of our wedding theme, as it is “Christmasy” looking, and our wedding was completely fall inspired. But when your Dad owns a greenhouse operation, and there are acres of poinsettias it just seems fitting to recreate your three year old Christmas card with your soon to be husband!

We took lots of pictures, so I will just highlight a few special details. My bouquet was super special to me. If you look close, you will see a gold locket. It was my precious, beautiful, lovely, perfect Grandma who passed away just over a year ago from cancer. She was a rockstar grandma, and I would of given anything to of really had her there, but instead she got to be the closest to me – and was of course in my heart!

All my girls…enough said, they were AWESOME!

And my favorite part. The fountain at the museum, where our reception was help. The pond was surrounded by tea lights and get this, TWELVE-HUNDRED white cyclamen!!! It really was a fairy-tale…

The cake. And Mom and I had a fun idea of how to incorporate “fall” into a wedding in November without it really screaming “fall”. So we went with 12 boxes of little, white pumpkins filling the clear glass vases. Simple and elegant.

The band. They were fabulous, and we cannot thank them enough for giving life to a wonderful reception celebration. If you want an awesome band, check out Andrew Thielen and The Band, they won’t disappoint.

Happy Wedding Day! Hard to believe that tomorrow marks out 3 month anniversary. We have a long life together ahead of us, and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for us. While on the topic, shout out to my parents, their 26 year anniversary is almost here – also the same date that Stan and I met five years ago. xoxo readers!
On Sunday afternoon Stan and I took an architectural boat tour around the entire island of Manhattan. It was so much fun, and we learned lots of history about the waterfront New York.
***the tour was through Classic Harbor Lines if you are interested, and led by AIA architects***
A little does of J.Crew loving for your tiny dancers.
What are your weekend plans? Are you still enjoying the last moments of summer?
My Mom is en route for a visit right now. I am excited. We have lots of fun plans. First wedding dress fitting. The we will swoon our way through ABC Home, Urban Archaeology and a few TriBeCa boutiques. We plan on dinner at Lupa, lunch at SAKS and ABC Kitchen, and perhaps a little jazz at the new Silver Lining in my favorite building in my neighborhood. Take a look at it for yourself right here. I can see it from my apartment, and love the up-lit facade by night. Have a good one!
