There is just something about these sweet little confections that scream take me to France. They are the most delicate, scrumptious cute-little desserts under the sun. You know I hear in France they are sometimes even found in McDonalds. Now, that might be the only thing that could get me to convince me to make a dining purchse at McDonalds.

An edible artist’s palette. This one if completely re-blog worthy. Check out those paint brush cookies, is that not completely out of this world?? I am nervous to think it is merely “okay” to even have the desire to devour one. Although, they do look rather “delish“!

What you see below is a perfect balance of a little father – daughter love. I have a pure obsession with Cheerios. (Dad you’ll agree with me, right?) And Dad, we all know your love for anything sweet. So from me to you…you have a little surprise from Jacques Torres arriving in the mail tomorrow. It is not bread pudding, chocolate moose or Mom’s famous Red Velvet Cake (with cream cheese icing). Essentially it is my cheap indulgence covered in pure expensive, chocolaty goodness. I love you.

A store the lovely ladies at work introduced me to in our studio neighborhood of Chelsea, Madeleine Patisserie. They raved about how yummy the little macaroons were from here. Then later that afternoon the girls in the office shared these in celebration of a birthday last week. [note: I still have never been there in person] They are delicious, and presented with a special touch of tasteful beauty! Later that afternoon I was out running a few office errands, I by passed the storefront, completely unaware that I was remotely close. And friends, I kid you not I did a complete heel-turning 360. The delicious smell stop me dead in tracks. Yeap, smell is a pretty strong sense, and my senses were on que…that was the place. So if anything else, and you happen to be in the neighborhood, I leave you with directions. Sniff your way up 23rd Street, when you find yourself between 6th and 7th Avenue, your getting hotter.Enjoy…

Yeap, thats’ right, I am counting down the days until Easter Sunday! I cannot wait to be home, and spend lots of time with my family. Not to mention my desperate need for an excuse not to think about my thesis project. Last year you might remember was the first Easter in my ENTIRE life to be without ANY family. I had a truly “Roman-style” Easter spent at the Vatican. Though the meaning still remains the same wherever you are, the fun-filled traditions were definitely missed. Well this year Mom and I are taking things to the extreme. I am like the 3 year old crafty daughter that will never grow up. I am the one who dyed dozens and dozens of eggs with Mom two years ago, just the two of us. She’d boiled dozens of eggs, and when they were ready for their dippin’s….well, no one else was around. I guess they had better? things to do?? I must note first and foremost, Yes we celebrate the season of the death and resurrection of Jesus-the renewal of the Christian faith, but all of the “festivities” are fun to blend into the “real” meaning of the season! With that, this Saturday Mom and I are going to work our domestic skills in the kitchen [Andrea will you join us? PLEASE!!!!!! You can eat the cookie dough scraps!] When we’d ventured into William-Sonoma a few weeks about we came across these fun stamp-n-style tools. We bought the kit, which is of course on sale now, to assist our cookie cutting skills.

Ever since that shopping day I’ve been looking forward to stampin’ out some cookies!!! Look out for a post on how well they actually turn out! Happy Holy Week!!
