What are your weekend plans? Are you still enjoying the last moments of summer?

My Mom is en route for a visit right now. I am excited. We have lots of fun plans. First wedding dress fitting. The we will swoon our way through ABC Home, Urban Archaeology and a few TriBeCa boutiques. We plan on dinner at Lupa, lunch at SAKS and ABC Kitchen, and perhaps a little jazz at the new Silver Lining in my favorite building in my neighborhood. Take a look at it for yourself right here. little ballerinas

Every little girl dreams of the day that they get fitted for their first pair of point shoes. Or at least I did. We notice the little girls are completely smitten by the older ballerinas at the studio who gracefully waltz around them. They’re longing for the day they can be “big girls” too. Well check this out…the little girls do not even have to wait. They can have their very own pair or ~~pain-free~~ pointe shoes starting as an infant. I am thinking perhaps…the little girls in our wedding will twirl down the aisle in these little slippers. Are these not the most precious little ballerina slippers with ribbon that laces up the ankle? Adorable!

Just one week from today we will face Oregon in the BIG game. That game we have all been long awaiting. Just as the team is preparing for the BIG game, we are too. a two for one

A two for one in my book. Yeap, you got that right! I took an evening scroll through Facebook. Blah, blah, blah…you know how that goes. One click leads to another, and somehow you end up somewhere and you are not sure how you made it, but you did. Tonight I found myself clicking on the Tory Burch newsfeed that was accompanied by the picture of two lovely ladies below. Perhaps I clicked because I was wowed by the scallop detail at the bottom of this new shirt these two ladies from the TB Marketing team were working. OR maybe it was the sign for “spoon” that is blurred in the background.

Why the fascination with spoon? That little sign made these concrete sidewalks actually mean something to me. This is the street I work on, and spoon is basically our neighboring friend. And a housewarming, inviting friend if I might say so myself. They offer up that sweet, yummy goodness of southern hospitality. It is one of those lovely unique city treasures, tucked away off the busy 7th Avenue.

So for tonight that’s all folks. You got a two for one. One of my favorite designers, Tory Burch AND a new local favorites the fab spoon!
