People always say, “the BEST things come in small packages”. And I could not agree more! Thank you to my sweet, sweet brother who sent me a surprise in the mail for my birthday! He is awesome. A true rock. Gives the best advice. Such a good role model. Has an amazing wife. And…a fabulous workout buddy (hence the need for a ipod nano for some super tunes of inspiration) Love you!

I never have been a big fan of the old-timey doily. They just kind of add an undesired “dated” funk to things in my eyes; and don’t quite do anything for me. They are very tea-partyish, which in that case, work well for fun, frilly and pink celebrations. But, not to fret, there is always a pillow of looming inspiration that can be drawn from “our delicate laced ancestors”. With a little modernity, we can always come up with a new use for an old-time design:
